Research in spices, now remain in test tubes and with the scientists. The Workshop will bring together thoughts from resarch houses, farmers, exporters and government/ international decision makers, that will then be converted into actionable strategies to set the direction to creating sustainable growth in the spices sector.

This initiative was borne out of a series of dicusssions, betweeen Dr S Regeena, Special Officer ( WTO Cell) and the committee members of the World Spice Organisation. The realisation that the objectives of both organisations, have plenty in common, will have them working closely on areas such as, rejuvenation of spice growing areas. The workshop will be first step towards this.
